Well I guess I don't like it because I was on the receiving end, but not a bad strategy.

No hard feelings from me, sorry about the lost chief and 5,000 troops. Not my fault, I am defensive and have not attacked a soul in your alliance.

Your logic is clearly flawed, since you're claiming that someone saw your troop counts, and decided, "Hey I can fail to attack him!"

A much more likely explanation is that the person was completely unaware of your application. Most of us do not monitor the applications forum, especially since recruiting is "closed," and we are only considering exceptionally strong applicants at this time.

I was told to reapply when I hit the min of 2500 troops. I will be there shortly. I have been near a group of W.E players for months. Not one single attack and then 23 attacks two days after I make an application and divulge troop counts....sounds fishy to me.

Regardless, I hope I proved that I am not a noob after being vaulted into the top ten defenders with my lowly 3000 troops. If that is not a strong player, I don't know what is. It is not all about population and troop size, it is a strategy game that takes experience and cunning.

I still think your alliance is the place to be and hope to join.

still a long way to go. plus, this requirement was made in august (i think) and its november now, so it should probably be much higher than it actually is.

keep in mind that the average pop of W.E. (all three wings) is ~5200, so set that as a reasonable baseline to shoot for when you apply.

Was denied due to not meeting minimum requirements. (Or withdrew) Either way this reinforces my belief in either applying out of fear, or not having the linguistic skills to realize that minimums have to be exceeded.

The troop counts are used to guage admission, if you choose to give them when you do not meet the minimum then again that is at your own peril and should be weighed before applications are made.

There are also a host of other details that i will leave off of this public forum.

4. Troop minimum: Roman or Gaul 2:1 (Teuton 3:1)
5. Pop minimum: 2500 (Will continue to rise, so check before applying - Exceptions are made for players with large armies)
6. Minimum of 4 Villages

Yes, I know I was short on the pop requirement and was hoping to get a dialogue going. I did not apply because of someone scouting me or out of fear. I decided to play this server seriously recently and hoped to join the best alliance in the NW. Being in a small aliance, I get scouted often, but no one attacks me. Except Sheyster raided my oasis once.

It seems like I did something that bothered you. When you sent your first attacks I just messaged to let you know that I knew you were coming. I was upfront and straight forward, there was no need for the loss of 5,000 plus W.E. troops, that I wanted to be an ally. I still want to......

this has been a long time coming. I personally have talked to a number of WE members on this way before he applied

I just looked up the scouting thing. Surgeon General was the first scouting from W.E. That was on the 11-1. I applied to W.E. on 10-29.......

I just looked through all of my reports. Those are not in there....I was not scouted on those days. The earliest was on the 1st. Anyone can change a report, I just don't see the point. You got the middle one all messed up when you changed it too, I am not a teuton and he didn't scout with TT's.

It didn't give you a report because my scouts are ninja, and since you failed to kill any the person being scouted (you) didn't receive a report saying I had visited.

At a later date I scouted you again and sent less scouts that time and lost a few, so you got a report.

Then that confirms my claim. I did not apply out of fear. I didn't know you scouted me....I didn't apply for protection or to prevent attacks.

I applied because your alliance kicks a## and I want to be in the best alliance.

If you don't want me, then fine.

I was just hoping that I proved myself worthy to join or at least be put on the back-burner as a future potential member with the defeat this morning.....

There is not one thing alone that you have done that has bothered me. And, to give credit where credit is due you defended yourself quite well. That being said a few things to me made me question your actions.

My understanding is that you were in fact scouted before your application to join was made. Sheysterr has posted records to this affect. Yet you say it was after. On that matter i am inclined to side with my alliance mates. The Surgeon General seems to also aggree with this stance.

And now i see that you accept that you were scouted first, so i retract my opinion on the applying out of fear. However the gut reactions to accuse that asking for troop info as unfair is still on the table. The denying that you could possibly have been scouted even after reports were provided. The accusations that they can be changed.

A few too many times spent pointing the finger for someone who is trying to apply in my opinion.

But i do know that tone and meaning can be lost in the written word so again maybe i am wrong.
